Some Cute Ones

Katie decided to do some yard work this afternoon...so I thought I would let you see just how fun it is around our house!

Who needs pants to mow?!?!

Alright...check out the bad hair, the t-shirt with no shorts, and the shoes on the wrong feet. This is how we roll in the Aust backyard!

And, here we are on Mother's Day. Not the greatest pic of Mommy...but I just can't resist those blue eyes!

Updates: Katie, Brooklyn, Whatever Else....

We have been pretty busy around the Aust House...but nothing too photo worthy. So, here is just a quick update...

Katie: Same old crazy kid. Finally getting over the scared of the dark business that kept her up for about a week...which in turn kept us up. Blah! She is getting excited/nervous about the new addition...she loves to play with the baby clothes, diapers, wipes, bottles...but she is also getting a little clingy. She will be fine, but it is going to be a serious change for her! We are working on it. She loves to show people "baby sisser" and she loves to kiss and hug "Brookin, in Mommy tummy"...at least she is positive at this point. We'll see. She also showered her Mommy with love on Mother's Day. She picked out some flip flops and a bracelet for me...all on her own. Interesting combo...but I love them both. This girl can shop! We had a great day, I am so lucky!

Brooklyn: Growing! At our ultrasound last week she weighed in just over 4 lbs. She is perfect! So far everything is looking really good. Our plan is to induce on June 11...but we will see about that. (By the way...that is 1 month from today...so close!) Her room is very close to being done and her hand-me-downs have been washed and folded. We just need to get a few more things out of storage and we are ready to go...as soon as she is ready. We are getting excited to meet her!

Us: TAKS testing is over! We had our annual end of TAKS party, which was too fun. I was too hot and tired to take pictures...so no fun pics to share...sorry! But, we are on the downside of the year...12 days with students...no one is counting though! Ready for all that the summer has for us. Other than the counting down, we are trying to enjoy our last few weeks with one child...before we are blessed with #2!

Swim Time!

Katie got to have her first swim of the season this weekend...she is still our little fishy! (And, check out the cheek boo-boo...she got in a fight with a couch...couch won...poor Katie...)

She also loves to shoot her water gun...especially at her Gringo!

I Love to PAINT!

Katie has been BEGGING to paint for days. It finally dried up enough to go outside and do some art....talk about a happy child!

Katie kept begging me to take a picture of her making this face. Not sure what that is all about...but she was cracking me up. So, here it is!

A Day at School

It rained so hard Monday night into Tuesday morning that we were flooded in at the house. We were able to get out and get to school a little late...but we could not Katie to her school. So, Katie came and helped us teach the "big kids". She had so much fun. She hung out with some of her teacher friends and she even watched movies on Daddy's computer. Mommy only got to see her for 30 minutes during lunch. She had a big day and was asleep as soon as we got in the car to head home. The next day she asked to go back to Katie's school...now she knows how we feel!

We only got pics of Katie watching a movie on Daddy's computer...she was otherwise occupied.

Our Hero

This is Katie and I have to brag on Daddy a little today! This morning (7:30) before students were supposed to be in the building....Daddy heard a girl yelling for help. Her friend was choking in the bathroom. So, Daddy ran into the restroom and performed the heimlich...he saved the little girl's life! She was choking on some candy! He was able to dislodge it and get her breathing again. Lesson 1: Don't eat candy that early in the morning. Lesson 2: Always take a friend with you (anywhere, especially the restroom!) Lesson 3: Pay attention when you are forced to sit through those life saving classes!

The girl is in Mommy's first class of today...obviously she had to leave to go to the doctor and get checked out. But, she came in to get her work...and told Mommy that my Daddy is her HERO! I couldn't agree more, Amanda! Way to go, Daddy! We know you were just doing what you have learned (that's what Daddy keeps saying when Mommy calls him a hero)...but some people are not willing to actually make it happen! Love you!
